For years, Matteo has been writing and composing songs in the quiet of his home, accompanied only by an acoustic guitar. The pages, chords, and ideas kept multiplying, and the thought of sharing this inner world with others began to take shape.
It’s September 2020, and Mrs. Lemon are born: five musicians, an unusual blend of diverse influences, a band with a cross-genre sound ranging from soul to rock ’n’ roll, from folk to pop, all the way to the singer-songwriter tradition from across the ocean.
A year later, their first single In Bloom is released — the beginning of a series of singles that culminated with the launch of the full EP in July 2022. After a year filled with live performances, the band entered Redroom Studio in Pisa to record their second EP, Wildflower, released in June 2023.
In 2024, Mrs. Lemon welcomed a new member — bringing fresh energy and inspiration — and set out to explore new sounds. They spent a year tucked away in their studio to record their first LP, No One Combs My Hair Like The West Wind, which will be released by Alka Record Label on March 20, 2026.
